Apparently Sage Payment Services is suffering an outage. Our 90 Minds Members have reported they haven’t been able to process credit card transactions in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. When attempting to process – at least two were presented with the following dialog box.
The Virtual Terminal has an alert saying they are operating with reduced staff due to Sandy.
Apparently SPS is technically closed due to the after effects of Sandy, but a few employees came in to help with the phones, etc. One of the Processing Vendors, based out of NYC, is down. They have been down since 5:15 am, and therefore authorizations and settlements won’t go thru.
A mass e-mail was reportedly sent out to all customers at around 10 am ET regarding this outage. No ETA at this point.
Update 10:56 am: SPS has updated their portal with information (https://support.sagepayments.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=20000).
Update 4:00 pm: SPS is back up and running. There was a communication issue with the processor and it has been resolved.
